had to be a result of her birth during a storm. Her father narrowly avoided "Precipitation" and instead convinced her that Rayn was more suitable as a name.

Personality: Ray is short, but has a big personality to make up for it. She isn't scared of speaking her mind or standing out from the crowd. She is fiercely loyal to her friends but isn't a doormat or a pushover and will disagree with them or tell them that they are being stupid (if they are) She can come across as being rather violent due to her levels of passion on some subjects,
but she never means it. She is quite laid back and very accepting and open minded. She enjoys making others laugh.
One of her favorite hobbies, besides tinkering with anything mechanical, is reading. Her favorite character is probably Zuzana from “Daughter of Smoke and Bone” Her friends often remark that she could have been based on Rayn – described in the book as “a fairy – but a rabid one” due to her height – or lack of it - plus her bold and sometimes blunt manner.
Her true passion, though, as mentioned before, is machinery, electronics and anything vaguely digital. She has an immense knowledge of these, mostly from taking gadgets apart and trying to put them back together, and her friends will call her if they need something fixed. She deals with viruses, cracked screens, smashed electronics, melted mobiles and a whole host of other disasters on a daily basis. She is always willing to help a friend, although she does hate to see mindless damage as she knows all too well the thought and precision that went into designing and building the tech they sometimes take for granted.
Why She Loves Technology:
Ray loves the thought of taking many small parts, practically useless when alone, and putting them together to make something amazing and complex. She can break things down in her head easily and enjoys finding the logical way to slot the pieces of different machines together to build or re-build the object. She tends to think in "tasks and goals" making computers and digital software very appealing.
This idea of constructing or fixing something which is able to move, and almost "think" for itself is amazing; she feels like she is breathing life into otherwise dead bits of metal and plastic.

Note: Normally, I'd be making this entry on Word.
But since I was forced volunteered to spend a day not touching anything electronic, I have to write.
Write. I know.
9:00AM : I tried to point out that a toaster can hardly be considered technology - well, it's only very slightly kind of technological, I suppose. If you're 300 years old. But no; "it has to be plugged in, and if you want toast that badly you can hold it over a fire!" A fire. Really. I mean, nobody has toasted anything over a fire in centuries. The whole point of toasters is to avoid setting flammable objects aflame. Such as tea towels. Not that I know anything about that - it's not like I tried or anything. Pssh..
12:00AM: I was slightly stumped about what to do. I was planning to finish the Python script tutorial I was making for Blender, but I had to find some old fashioned alternatives. As much as I love reading, actual books are much clumsier than a Kindle. Every time I wanted to get up and grab a soda, I have to go through the whole hassle of marking pages. As for accidentally setting said soda on one of the pages - how did one splash of liquid manage to find its way through the whole thing, cover to cover?
9:00PM I managed to put up for another few hours. I’ve discovered that manually kneading bread is nothing like a bread-maker, and that singing into a bathroom mirror isn’t exactly the same as an ipod. Ten minutes ago I tried lighting a candle by rubbing sticks together – I’m writing this from the front garden.
(they still haven’t managed to put out the flames. Ouch.)

HOW DID REIBU AND HOSHIKO MEET?(word count: 283)It was 11:30 at night and it was finally time. I placed my headphones in their usual position; around my neck. After about 15 minutes of driving my destination came into place. It was a club. A grin spread across my face as I pulled into the almost filled parking lot. "There's a lot of people here today." I murmured as I got out of the car. As I stood before the doors I took a deep breath "Well, the more the merrier." I flung open the doors and was confronted by what seemed like 50 kia's dancing on a crowded dance floor. The music was blasting and immedietly I got up on that dance floor and let loose. This is where I belong. At least, that was my last thought before someone slammed into me so hard I fell to the floor. "Hey!" I shouted but when I looked up there was a kia that looked the same age as a teenager. I got up and snapped at her "This place isn't for kids!" The kia put her hands on her hips and laughed "I'm not a kid! I'm PPS!" She shouted over the music. I looked at her more closely, I'd never met one before. "Okay then." I said as I turned away. Her hand caught my wrist and I turned to look at her "The names Reibu! Nice to meet you!" She grinned at me like I hadn't just tried to walk away. In any case I shrugged "I'm Hoshiko. You can call me Hoshi."
From that day on they met at the club day after day. As they found more things in common Hoshiko and Reibu became best friends.

Why She Loves Technology: What's not to love? Vera has always been very fond of technology. She likes to be alone for the most part, but she isn't anti social, so texting and email give her the ability to talk to people without being in their physical presence. She can walk away from her phone if she doesn't like where the conversation is headed; nothing is making her stay. Technology gives her access to a whole world of possibilities. She can learn anything and see everything on the internet. And then there are the simple pleasures like heating, air conditioning, and electricity. There's nothing better in her eyes.

Personality: She likes to be athletic, yet she loves technology. If you see her running, you're going to see her with her headphones, listening to music as she runs. She is "spunky", and is very jumpy/exited when it comes to raves or something very important. She also loves being with her friends. Most people think she is going to be a punk, but when you meet her, she is actually really calm and nice to meet someone.
Why She Loves Technology: She believes the internet is basically ENDLESS, because there are so many sites, and an endless journey of web sites such as tumblr, Facebook, twitter, etc. She first discovered when she saw a lost (and working) phone in the forest. She went on some apps and really figured out that the internet is quite an interesting thing.
