Meaning behind the name: well in Lilo and stitch theres a really well known quote, Ohana mean family, family means nobody gets left behind, and i think it would really suit him as he is based on stitch. the quote is also my favourite part of the movie xDD

Meanjng behind the name: In a book called wonder, a boy with a deformed face was the main character. He went through life's struggles (being bullied, teased, made fun of, etc.) throughout the story. What I noticed is that Stitch was also being made fun of and people were scared of him because of his looks. He and the boy in the book are very similar. The boys name is August and I decided to name this Kia it as well.

Meaning behind the name: It is the name of the vine used for making Leis in Hawaii, which I've come to feel that Stitch should like from his dance classes with Lelo. ;3 That and last Mothers Day when I was vacationing my cousin and I got my grandmother a blue and white Lei, seeing as blue is her favorite color and she rather liked the flowers. Completely irrelevent, I know, but the bandana reminded me of it.

Meaning behind the name: Ho'ike has the Hawaiian meaning to test or make a report of. This was my name choice because Stitch was pieced together as just another one of Jumbas tested evil experiments, its also still a small and cute name that suits his fluffy fun character.

Username: Parachutes Name: Ponyo Meaning behind the name: I adore Lilo and Stitch, and wanted to stick to the character of Stitch, without simply naming him Stitch. Stitch's name relates to the essence of the film, as he pulls together a family that appears to be falling apart- stitches also referring to the healing of the family's bonds. Ponyo is a Swahili word meaning 'healing', and is also kind of cute. A large duty, and a cute title; I thought the mixture fitted the maturely childish character this Kia is. Meaning behind the name:
The name is Hawaiian in Origen and composed of the elements ka "the" and leo "sound, voice," hence "the sound" or "the voice."
I thought the name to be fitting one for its Hawaiian origins but two for the fact that for me the Lilo and stitch soundtrack is one of the most memorable things about the movie hence the music reference in the name
