Ryder silently gazed out of his family den, overlooking the large valley that split the two territories. A kiamara clan lived on the other side, his own clan's sworn enemy. For years war has come so very close, but thanks to the valley...it could never happen. Every summer, Autumn and spring, hunters would be watching the valley like hawks. Waiting for any kiamara to appear. Since Kia pelts are so unique and colourful, they make a wonderful clothing range. But winter was far to cold to fight in, and for the humans to hunt the species. So these two clans were very vulnerable where they lived, but have somehow managed to survive.
Anyway, the young male slightly glared at the blinding light that began to rise over the mountains. It was almost time for the daily scout, which Ryder was running. The male took and breath and leapt off the platform of his den and quickly dashed to the center of the territory where most of the packs dens were. Ryder gazed around and five kias suddenly emerged from their sleeping places. "We're ready leader." One of them said and stood in front of him. "a'right! Let's go!" Ryder smiled, as they all began to split up and scan the territory.
(That sucked! I'm using a phone! x'D)

It was early morning when Sofia snuck out of the den site. She wanted to explore what the valley was like. Go to the limits of her owns territory. It was forbidden to go too close to enemy territory; in case one was spotted and spark some conflict between the clans. But what others didn't know wouldn't kill them. Silently but surely she crept her way towards the valley as if she had done it 100 times. She kept her body low to the ground and ears up as much as she could get them. Listening to each and every sound that drifted by. As she started to leave the boundaries of their den site her paced began to pick up. Paw after paw got quicker and quicker. Before she knew it, she was sprinting off into the unknown.
(( sorry I look so long! I was sick all week long then have had a very busy week this week.. >,<))

Ryder nodded in satisfaction as they dashed off in pairs, in each direction. The colourful male smiled and leapt on top of the large rock den and gazed around the area, two went over the mountain towards the back of the territory, while the other went to the north-west. Ryder called the remaining Kia and they both quietly stalked towards the territory devider. Which was the valley, it was in fact almost winter. So hunters wouldn't be around much, so the two kias knelt to the ground and silently watch the valley.
